Irish Gathering is delighted to welcome the Sons of the American Revolution to the SAR Family Tree Conference to be held on Friday the 9th of May 2014 in Ireland in the Davenport Hotel, Merrion Square in the heart of Dublin. Irish Gathering will provide a number of top Speakers throughout a packed programme that will enable delegates to use the Conference to learn first-hand where your Irish family name originated in Ireland.
As part of this unique Conference we hope to arrange a visit to the Lord Mayor at the Mansion House where the first meeting of Parliament took place following the Irish War of Independence. See below for further information.
The Irish Gathering Sons of the American revolution Genealogy Conference
The aim of the Conference is to provide an opportunity to the Sons of the American Revolution and their families to learn how they can source information on their family history, their roots, and their DNA. They will explore a selection of research tools that will help delegates discover their Irish identity.
The Conference Speakers will include expert genealogists, scientists and Irish Gathering personnel to explain how you can learn about your own family genealogy and connect to long lost branches of your family.
Irish Gathering has already assisted families to re-connect through identifying their common ancestry. This is a mystery tour full of surprises and emotion, a journey that will connect and challenge you as you search for your roots and follow the clues that will give you your sense of place and belonging in today’s Ireland. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to potentially find your present-day relatives through your past.
